Kuopio is an active city which combines intimate village and urban culture. In the centre of Kuopio, you can find within walking distance a lot of historical buildings, parks, and statues, together with modern architecture, restaurants, bars and shops.  There is something for everyone!

Remember that dressing up correctly is the key out here during winter time when the temperature varies between 0 and -30 degrees Celsius (we recommend wearing thermal layers). At summer time the scale is between +5 and +35, so you can never know what to expect.
